Off the coast of Koh Phi Phi; Maya beach

There are places that strike you with their beauty- memories of such places leave tiny imprints on our consciousness- and then there are places that absolutely BLOW. you. AWAY. To the point of infinity, where you are holding your breath, it almost hurts just to look. I was utterly awe-struck when I chartered a private longboat with Ouja early this morning, making it out to Maya beach and the Blue Lagoon off the coast of Koh Phi Phi island- the same place where they filmed the epic movie "The Beach", starring DiCaprio's pretty boy face. The water was the most crystal-clear perfect shade of emerald green and the limestone cliffs around us simply majestic, cupping the lagoon within it and creating a sort of giant bathtub of shimmering jewels. Ouja and I jumped out of our boat, sampling the deliciously warm waters and catching sight of the incredible marine life below us, rich and vivid with colors and sea animal varieties.

Jeanine, your pictures amazing as always. Even in that first pic, that guy sitting on his longboat chillin. You have such an eye for the simplest joys in life, and you have such dedication to capturing them with that camera of yours and doing it so darn well. Keep it up boo.
honey boo boo, it makes it so much easier having your efflugent face on the receiving end of my camera's lens, not to mention all of your sweet and encouraging comments thereafter. and speaking of credit, pay YOURSELF credit for noticing that sweet guy chilling on the longboat- you directed that one all the way, baby.
i appreciate YOUR keen eye, no one ever took such time and careful precision to snag some shots of me, and unforgettable many of them were and are.
